Още от пролетта на тази година имаше слухове, че GTX 480 няма да е най-хай видеокартата на NVIDIA в каталога им за 2010 г, а короната ще бъде носена от NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580. Наскоро обаче започна да излиза повече информация за новото чудовище на производителя и официалния анонс не закъсня.
Още миналата седмица NVIDIA представи GeForce GTX 580, като каза, че новата видеокарта е с 30% по-бърза от GTX 480. Освен това производителят я обявява и за най-бързата DirectX 11 карта на пазара до ден днешен.Има и още 🙂 GeForce GTX 580 има иновативна охладителна система, която използва някакви газове, благодарение на което е много тиха… или поне така се казва в съобщението за медиите. Като технически параметри, GTX 580 разполага с 516 ядра и „16 PolyMorph engines“. Това последното така и не разбрах точно какво е, но би трябвало да е нещо много кораво 🙂 А, почти забравих – новото предложение е с 1536MB GDDR5 памет.
И това не е всичко! NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 вече се предлага на пазара… за момента в САЩ, като препоръчителната цена на производителя е $499. Все още няма информация кога чудовището ще налази и останалите пазари по света, но не мисля, че ще трябва да чакаме повече от седмица.
Както обикновено, GeForce GTX 580 няма да се предлага директно от NVIDIA, а от търговските партньори, като за момента има анонси от Sparkle, ASUS, Galaxy, ZOTAC, EVGA, Jetway, MSI, Palit, ASL (кои ли пък са тези…), GIGABYTE, Galaxy, Leadtek, Point of View (POV), Colorful (още едни неизвестни за мен) и Elitegroup.
